How to Adopt a Thoroughbred
Placement Process
Looking for your next equine partner?
We offer select off-the-track Thoroughbreds for adoption to approved homes in the Southeast.
1. Download the application or use the online form.
2. Answer all questions thoroughly. Include the following:

- Current vet reference
- Current farrier reference
- Proof of residency
- Photos of horse’s environment
3. Submit the application by mail, email, or online.
4. Pay $15 processing fee with cash, check, or PayPal.
Step 2: Find Your Perfect Thoroughbred
5. If approved, schedule an appointment to meet the horses.
6. Work with our team to find your perfect equine partner.
7. Review any disclosed medical or behavioral information.
8. Complete two week trial period to ensure appropriate match.
Step 3: Adopt Your New Equine Partner!
9. Read and sign your adoption contract.
10. Bring home your new best friend!
